Tears of Aphrodite is an art installation by Rebecca Devaney and Émilie Gautier, textile artists currently working as Haute Couture embroiderers in Paris, France. The project began on International Women’s Rights Day 2019 and combines the exquisite beauty of embroidery with a message highlighting the victims of sexual violence in France.

Inspired by the myth of Aphrodite, the Ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty, whose tears of sorrow blossomed into anemone flowers as they fell to the ground.
