Embroidery Classes in Paris

Come along and enjoy an embroidery class in a charming artists’ studio in Paris. From the absolute novice to the seasoned embroiderer in need of some inspiration - there is a choice for everyone! With beautiful views over the Buttes Chaumont Park, refreshments and snacks, the classes will be a lovely occasion to relax, chat and meet new people.

Each class has been designed to combine traditional techniques and skills with exciting themes from Mexican embroidery to the fantastical world of Nathalie Lété, the romance of 19th century Samplers and the playful patterns of Sublime Stitching.

You will be in safe hands, I have been teaching Embroidery, Art, Crafts and Design for over 15 years. My true love is the beauty of embroidery and the stories it reveals about cultures and treasured moments in time. On holidays in Mexico, Turkey, India or Siciliy… you will find me in artists studios, cooperatives and museums learning about new embroidery styles and techniques.

A Stitch in Time -Embroidered Stories from Mexico

In the village of Tsintsuntsan (the home of the hummingbird) in Mexico, mothers embroider scenes from everyday life for their daughters before marriage, to be kept as souvenirs and heirlooms. You will choose a photograph or drawing with special meaning for you and embroider it to capture a cherished moment in time for you or give as a gift to a loved one.
